Flinders Range Art Tour with A-F Fulgence

Shearers’ Quarters is booked for the duration of our artist camp, a great place for larger groups to meet and connect with yourself, friends, your hosts, and nature. This building consists of 11 bedrooms, a large dining area that has an open fireplace and a large common room that opens out onto decking and a pergola area. The wood and gas BBQs and outside fire-ring offer a real bush setting that overlooks a small gum tree lined creek.

The accommodation is equipped with basic cooking facilities and utensils. I can send some images as soon as you have made your reservation, and we can plan what we need for the trip. That is to make the stay a bit more comfortable.

We will have to do our own cooking and look after our accommodation during our stay. I propose that each of us cook a meal one night for all of us to share. Lunch is something we can organise ourselves and take with us each day to location.

During our stay, we will tour the area, find a suitable agreed location then draw/paint plein air. This will depend on weather conditions and may be subject to change. This can all be finalised closer to departure or at Willow Springs itself.

During our plein air classes, I will guide, encourage, and demonstrate some drawing and painting exercises, to make you feel more confident to produce artworks.

The teaching, and support that I will provide during the plein air days, will focus on experimentation, using a wide variety of drawing and painting mediums.
